NYFW 2015 All-Star Weekend Recap

Lazy Monday morning is like a sweet dream comes true when you had an amazing weekend and was praying that it doesn’t have to end just yet. I had a lot of fun this Valentines and was beyond happy that I get to spend an extra day at home relaxing and updating myself on NYFW.

The stage this year for Tommy Hilfiger fully captured the upbeat, modern and sport-inspired element in his latest collection. An energetic selection of background music served as a great compliment to the show, while truly instilled a sense of excitement to brighten this cold Monday in NYC. My favorite TH piece from the collection has got to be the burgundy dress with inserted black mesh detail at the top. Flippy little skirt is also a main theme for this collection. However, I’m not a fan of the numbered jersey trend, despite his effort to utilize a more unique, leather like material.  Also, I think it would have been much cooler if the stage was paying tribute to the  All Star game yesterday, but that’s just my personal opinion.

Another trend that will be dominant from what I have seen in this year NYFW is definitely knit wear with deep V neck, a combination of thick sweater and flippy skirt (as seen in Tommy, Tracy Reese, etc.) and saddle bag with trailed braided straps (Altuzarra). Alexander Wang has successfully glorified the gothic/ punk rock chic look with beautiful leather cuts and studded details this year and I’m beyond excited to see how bloggers will be styling his items in their upcoming shoots.

My favorite of all from this NYFW weekend , however, has got to be DVF’s. The collection was stunningly sultry and gorgeous with slinky silk dress, deep neckline cut, sheer detail, all blend together in a mysterious and sexy way.

And to end today blog, I would like to share with you guys an outfit that I put together yesterday for a last minute brunch date. I just got these new babies (aka my shoes) and I’m nothing but in love with them. XOXO
